Whether you're 18 or 80, whatever your budget, your size or your gender, I believe everyone deserves to feel confident in what they wear. I'd love to help you build a wardrobe that truly reflects who you are.
Finding Home
Where It All Began
Originally from Wellington, New Zealand, I found my way to Perth after meeting my husband while we were both living in London. Two and a half years later, we made the move back to his hometown, and Perth quickly became home for me too. It's an incredible place to live, and I honestly can't imagine being anywhere else. We now have two wonderful children who keep life busy, fun and full of adventure.
A LIFELONG LOVE
My Passion
Fashion has always been part of who I am. As a little girl, I was completely fascinated by Brigitte Bardot and would spend hours in my wardrobe dressing up and recreating her iconic style. At school, I fell in love with sewing and was forever creating my own outfits. I'd often wake up with an idea in my head, remember a piece of fabric I had tucked away, and race to the sewing machine to make something new to wear to an event that very day. Looking back, I suppose styling was always in my blood.
Finding My Path
My Journey
Although I didn't begin my career in fashion, style never stopped being my passion. I spent many years working in law as a Legal Executive/Paralegal, a career I genuinely enjoyed and where I made lifelong friendships. But it wasn't until my friend Fiona (formerly my business partner at Fiona & Mel Image Stylists) suggested we start a styling business together that everything changed.
Over the next 12 years, we built a thriving business, helped hundreds of incredible clients, and created memories I'll always treasure. Today, we're each following our own paths, and I'm so excited to continue doing what I love through Mel Marshall Styling.
